MatchTrader Guide

MatchTrader is the trading platform used across all FundYourFX accounts. This guide covers how to access it, the layout, placing and managing trades, reading your account metrics, charting, and troubleshooting.

How to access MatchTrader

No download is required to start. MatchTrader is available three ways, and every device syncs in real time so you can manage positions seamlessly across all of them:

1. Web browser: log into your FundYourFX dashboard at app.fundyourfx.io and select "Trade" to open MatchTrader directly. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge are supported.
2. Desktop app: download the native Windows or macOS app from your dashboard.
3. Mobile apps: install from the iOS App Store or Google Play by searching "FundYourFX" or "MatchTrader."

The interface

The trading screen is divided into five areas:

• Left sidebar: instrument selection (forex, indices, gold, oil, crypto).
• Center: the interactive price chart with technical analysis tools.
• Right panel: order entry (lot size, stop-loss, take-profit, order type).
• Bottom tabs: Positions, Orders, History, and Account metrics.
• Top bar: live balance, equity, margin, and free margin.

Placing a trade, step by step

1. Select an instrument from the left sidebar (for example EURUSD, XAUUSD, US30).
2. The chart and order panel open automatically.
3. Choose your order type: Market for immediate execution, or Limit/Stop to trigger at a future price.
4. Enter your lot size / volume. Start conservatively when you are testing.
5. Set a stop-loss. This is mandatory: a stop-loss is required on every trade within 3 minutes of opening.
6. Optionally set a take-profit level.
7. Click "Buy" or "Sell" to open the position.

Stop-loss rule

A stop-loss is required on every trade within 3 minutes of opening. This is a core FundYourFX rule and applies across all programs. You can:

• Set it directly in the order panel before you click Buy or Sell, or
• Add or edit it on an open trade from the Positions tab if you forgot.

There is no minimum distance requirement for stop-loss placement. Note: two missed stop-losses will terminate your account.

Managing positions

The Positions tab is where you control open trades:

• Modify a trade: click the edit icon to adjust stop-loss or take-profit.
• Close a trade: click the X to close at market price.
• Partial close: reduce the volume in the edit panel to exit part of a position.
• Monitor P&L: view live unrealized profit and loss per trade and in aggregate.

Key account metrics

Important: your drawdown is calculated on equity, not balance. Unrealized losses on open trades count toward your drawdown limits immediately, before you close the position.

Charts and analysis

Two charting systems are available:

1. TradingView integration: hundreds of indicators, drawing tools, and multiple timeframes. Recommended for most traders.
2. In-house charts: a lighter, faster option for simplified analysis.

Other features:

• Multi-chart mode to view several charts at once.
• Drag-and-drop adjustment of stop-loss and take-profit levels directly on the chart.
