Predictions let you stake your pips on how a market will move. Call it right and you win more pips; call it wrong and you lose your stake. It is a fast, fun way to put your pips to work.
How does it work?
- Open the Predict section on The Desk.
- Pick a market. Each one is a simple question, for example whether a price finishes above a level by a set time.
- Choose your side, Yes or No, and how many pips to stake.
- Confirm. Your stake leaves your wallet and your prediction is locked in until the market closes.
How much can I win?
Your payout depends on the odds at the moment you place the prediction:
- Each side has an entry price, which is the market's implied chance of that outcome (from 1 to 99).
- Payout = your stake times (100 divided by the entry price), less a small house margin of about 10%.
- At even odds (an entry price of 50), that is roughly 1.8x your stake: a 100-pip stake returns about 180 pips if you win.
- The longer the shot you back, the higher the multiple, up to about 4.5x on the biggest longshots. Backing a strong favorite pays only a little above your stake.
If your side wins, the payout lands in your wallet when the market settles. If it loses, you lose the pips you staked.
What are the limits?
To keep it fair and controlled:
- Up to 25 predictions per day.
- Up to 1,000 pips staked per prediction.
- Up to 10,000 pips at stake at once across all your open predictions. Settle some before staking more.
- One open prediction per market at a time.
Anything else to know?
- Predictions use pips only, never cash.
- You can only place a prediction while a market is open, before its close time.
- Odds move with the market, so the entry price you get is the one shown when you confirm.
